This should be a fun, educational and rewarding project. As usual the damage is less worrisome than the "repairs" done by previous people. Hopefully the glue they used is all reversible. If there is any epoxy in there it will be a different beast.
If anyone has any experience with these Haynes Tilton models I would appreciate any tips or information.

It looks a lot like an 1886 Benary parlor that crossed my bench a few years ago, including the label thingie in the sound hole (and the funny support that makes getting inside difficult)

I had found your original post, and Brian's very helpful response, and thought it interesting that the guitars were at once similar but different in many aspects. (the plastic pieces being one of the most obvious).
Do either of you remember details about these guitars such as a maker's mark (ie were they also made by John C Haynes?) or other distinguishing features?

Sorry Dave, I don't have any other information in my notes. That was several years ago, I had kind of forgotten about it but noticed it for sale in the musical instrument section of our classified ads. As I recall what I thought was a neck stick was really just a brace between the head and tail blocks. I didn't reset the neck since it was marginally playable with nylon strings (or maybe they were silk and steel, I don't remember).
